The Craziness About Being Crazy

Rash. Selfish. Envious. Deceitful Liar. Manipulative. Yet charismatic and a genius – Steve Jobs has been called all, one and everything.

Received Steve Jobs: The Exclusive Biography by Walter Issacson a few days ago. Got 3 of them – one for myself, and 2 as gifts. Having read a few hundred pages, can definitely say – this is a definite keep. Out of the many thousand books/novels/textbooks I’ve read so far, this one is f**ing unique. Special. About a special man.

Exhibits his life, his ups and downs… successes and tremendous failures. His love, passion and undying energy to build something – something that will outlast him and his life. Rise of him through the ranks – against the market, executives, expectations, everything. Burning desire to make it to the top – and be remembered forever as a perfectionist, LSD taking, hippie counterculture kid, who dared to fucking ‘Think Different‘.

Whether you’re an Apple fan or not, it really doesn’t matter. If you wish to stand out from the mediocre, and create a space for yourself – whatever you’re working with or for, get a copy of this book. I got mine from Flipkart. Read it… and see – what separates geniuses from the usual morons, sub-standard types we work with every day of our lives.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
